There's Always Hope

Since 1975, the Thorpe Recovery Centre has been helping people beat painful addictions and discover happier, more fulfilling lives. Operated by the Walter A. “Slim” Thorpe Recovery Centre Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing client-centred and community-based addiction services, the Thorpe Recovery Centre is unique in western Canada because of the wide range of services we provide including:

• Highly individualized care that gives each client the optimal chance of avoiding relapse.
• A full suite of services including detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient and prevention services, post-treatment programs, aftercare programs and family programs.
• Highly trained, devoted staff members who enjoy working in a fun atmosphere where the small joys of everyday life are recognized and celebrated.
• Experience with youth, that will allow the centre to easily incorporate youth residential treatment programming in the new facility.

We build hope for those suffering with addiction as well as for their families, friends, employers and others. In many ways, the Thorpe Recovery Centre is a best-practice institution setting the standard in addiction treatment for the world.
